Clickbait has become increasingly popular over the last few years.
Today news organizations are more concerned about getting good clickbait material then they are with finding actually knowledgable news. Although, the power of having good clickbait material is that you're going to gain more traffic coming to your website, opposed to not having good clickbait material.
With clickbait enticing us into reading something, it often leads to mixed reactions. Clickbait creates reactions it's what it's meant to do. People tend to get mixed emotions when they come upon clickbait. While some clickbait is humorous other forms of clickbait aren't anywhere near that category. Certain people will take offence while others will shrug it off. However, those who take offence will usually contact an organization or post about it on social media thus, giving a news outlet some bad reviews.
Usually with something that is click-baited only a few things or sometimes one thing in the article relates with what the clickbait was actually stating in the headline.
With click-baiting becoming as big as it is now, people are overly using it which makes it no longer unique like it once was, which is making for it to be an over used tactic in today technology based world.

Social media the new newspaper?
With this day and age technology is taking over the world, especially the internet. With the internet being people's main source of news, are newspapers are being effected by this?
Sure, we still have those people who grew up reading the newspaper and will do it to this day. However, with the younger generation being raised in this era, an era that is so technology based it's only natural for them to get there news in a place that they're familiar with: the internet.
So, with media outlets knowing this they put their news up on the internet first. With the information already being on the web and people after reading it, not as many people will be buying a newspaper that day/week because they already know whats going to be included in it.
Online news has become incredible popular and rightfully so considering that todays everything is centered around social media.
Facebook has millions upon millions using it. A lot of people tend to use it as their way of "getting news" as well as many other social media outlets. So, with all these new social media platforms taking in news, what is going to be left with newspapers?
